Meet the optometrists at our eye care center in Cranston & East Providence, RI. We offer a full range of eye health services to patients of all ages, from children to older adults. From annual eye exams, including updates to contact lens and glasses prescriptions, to eye care emergencies and eye disease treatments, our eye care team is here to help.
Your Cranston and East Providence Eye Physicians
Dr. Stephanie Hanson is a native of Warren, Rhode Island. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. Dr. Hanson received her Doctor of Optometry from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) in Worcester, MA. While at MCPHS, Dr. Hanson was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity (VOSH). Prior to joining Bling Eyewear, her work includes externships at the VA Hospitals in Orlando, FL and Providence, RI, and at the Naval Hospital in Quantico, VA. Her clinical work background incorporates an array of practices in diagnosing and/or managing various ocular diseases, contact lens evaluations and fittings, as well as dry eye therapy.
Outside of work, Dr. Hanson takes pride in cheering on her gold-medalist sister Diana in the Special Olympics-- in addition to taking frequent trips to Disney World with her by her side. Family plays a large role in Dr. Hanson’s life for she enjoys spending valuable and quality time with them (and her dogs!). A passion of hers is traveling the world. During your next visit, ask Dr. Hanson where her favorite place to travel has been and let her know of yours as well, she loves to hear it!
Bling Eyewear is a family run business and Dr. Hanson is delighted to be working alongside her parents and family. She wouldn’t be where she is today without her mother, Optician Cesarina Hanson, leading the way (literally and figuratively!). She learned from the best.

Dr. Emily Cardone is an optometrist at Bling Eyewear who provides comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings for all age groups. She grew up near Scranton, Pennsylvania and graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2018.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cardone enjoys spending her time taking care of her baby girl Sophia and taking walks with her husband Nikolas and their dog Maddox.
